Getting Certified as an Inline Skate Instructor Internationally delivering quality to the education industry 

PT AMI is the country representative for ICP International. We have the rights to conduct certifications under the ICP International. This has prompted us to translate the ICP program into Bahasa Indonesia making it accessible to a wide market. 

Since 2010 we have been actively experimenting and developing programs that can help local coaches become more knowledgeable in teaching the pedagogy of learning how to inline skate. Established in 1991 ICP has a fantastic track record on certifying and standardizing inline skate teaching and instruction worldwide. Over 17000 instructors world wide have been certified. 

Indonesia has had its challenges in developing ICP. ICP has a high passing grade of 80% based on our experience only 10% of participants pass on their very first try. In the very first year of trying to conduct ICP certifications in Indonesia we found that the knowledge and skill gap of the clubs and community skaters were too big to bridge in one program. 

Preparation Programs 1A and 1B

This prompted us to develop the ICP Preparation Program. A program designed to help participants get acquainted with the standards and levels of expertise of ICP. This has become popular. The fact that participants do need to be fluent in skating or english improves buy in rate by coaches. 

The preparation programs are part of PT Autory Muda Indonesia’s vision to improve the quality of sports education worldwide. We have experience doing both: 

1. Bring a certification program to a country where it was non existent 

2. Modifying programs to raise the competency of current instructors so they can reach the needed levels to pass international standards 

The ICP has online certification programs which cater to inline skating enthusiasts worldwide. The Bahasa Indonesia version is built by the PT Autory Muda Indonesia team, solidifying itself as a company that contributes to raising the level of education in inline skating worldwide. 

The beauty of ICP and its certification program is that anyone who can skate proficiently can learn how to teach using a pedagogy method. ICP’s principals that are safety, fun and learning first make them ahead in terms of professional roller sports education methodologies that are accepted Internationally. 

We at PT Autory Muda Indonesia believe in an open, supportive and positive environment in sports education. The matter of fact is, these values can sometimes contradict sports organizations, especially in Rollersports. Unfortunately referee and coach certifications are rarely open for all enthusiasts. This is a large inhibitor for growth in an industry that desperately needs educational foundations to help explore potential such as in the education industry. 

We at PT Autory Muda Indonesia receive many skaters who find us because they feel lost to whom to contact when it comes to teaching, developing safe curriculums and managing servicing inline skate interests. The catchment rate of new skaters cannot be only lent to ex professional skaters and champions. There must be a way to incorporate the public into helping sustain development and growth of roller sports interest. ICP provides these foundation.
